What Patty Stands For
- I have fought and won against Industrial Solar Fields replacing Ohio’s fertile farmland in Pickaway County.
- I have fought and won against the closing of the Chillicothe VAMC where 24,000 Veterans and 1,200 employees won.
- I have stood with the citizens in Ashville and Muhlenberg Township against placing Data Centers 1 mile away from schools.
- I am standing with the citizens of District 12 against outrageous property taxes by assisting with the Ax Ohio Tax movement.
- I have spoken against Corporate Tax Abatements and for ensuring Corporations hire Ohioans First along with the use of Vocational programs / STEM labs to ensure students are employed right out of high school with great opportunities.
- I have spoken to a school board president to bring cursive back into the curriculum using Art Class. Along with an additional vocational program for Finance/Financial Literacy with Banking, Investing and Bookkeeping as the foundation.
About Patty
I am Patty Hamilton, a Republican running in the May 5th, 2026, Republican Primary, to become the State Representative for your district to serve in the Ohio House of Representatives. My district covers all of Pickaway, the western part of Franklin, and Madison counties. Early voting started 7 April 2026.
I am a Conservative fully qualified to serve as your State Rep: I am a retired Lieutenant Colonel, having
served for 30 years in the Army Reserves as a Military Police Officer with Combat tours of duty in Iraq and Afghanistan. I worked at the Pentagon for one year on the Army Staff, I served in numerous leadership positions and was a Battalion Commander for two years. Some of my Army awards and decorations include the Legion of Merit Medal, Bronze Star Medal, Defense Meritorious Service Medal, Meritorious Service Medal, Army Staff Badge, and three combat service bars. While in the Army I was entrusted with great responsibility working directly for the Under Secretary of Defense while working at the Pentagon on the Army Staff in the Office of the Provost Marshal General as the National Detainee Reporting Center Operations Officer commissioned by the President of the United States. I was the Detainee Reporting Center Chief in Iraq responsible for accounting for every detainee in Iraq. I was the Provost Marshal at the Kandahar Airfield Afghanistan in charge of Customs Clearance for all of Afghanistan. My experience in the military exceeds the qualifications to serve as a State Rep.
Currently: I am a member of the Pickaway County Republican Central Committee, the America First Now group, Ohio Farm Bureau, and the Pickaway County Agricultural Society. I am a 7 year member of the Soldier’s Monumental Association and am currently serving as the 1st Vice after having served three years as the Treasurer and before that as a Director. I am very knowledgeable on various guns, have my Concealed Carry Weapon (CCW) permit, and am an NRA member. I am a lifetime member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) and a member of the Pickaway County Sportsman Club. I am currently a small business owner of rental properties.
My education consists of: a Master’s of Science Degree in Education from Walden University, MN; a Master's Degree in Military Science from Command and General Staff College; a Bachelor of Science degree from Central Missouri State University in Criminal Justice; a Teaching Certificate from Armstrong Atlantic State University, GA. Military Police Officers Basic Course, Airlift Planners Course, Air Movement Course, Adjutant General School, Officers Advanced Course, Mobilization Planners Course, Hand-to-hand Combat Training, Commander’s Course, Army Master Fitness Course, and Combined Arms and Services Staff School.
